Generally, an effective coating agent is one which provides additional functions to an object through its coating. Some major functions are optical functions, electrical and electronic functions, mechanical and chemical functions, and environmental functions.
| • | The optical functions include preventing reflections and glare. |
| • | The electrical and electronic functions include static prevention, providing conductivity, and shielding against electromagnetic pulses. |
| • | The mechanical and chemical functions include elasticity, water repellence, stain resistance, and antibacterial features. |
| • | Environmental functions include a photocatalyst function. |

PET, vinyl chloride, polycarbonate, acryl
On displays and monitors, used in personal computers, car navigation systems, and touch panels, film coatings are added to their surfaces to prevent reflection and glare. To prevent reflection, we take advantage of differences in the refraction index of materials and adjust the path of the light beams. This also restricts the level of reflection. To prevent glare, an uneven film surface causes light beams to be reflected randomly. TOKUSHIKI utilizes its distribution technology for fillers to supply the coating agents for anti-glare films.

These are isocyanate hardened coating agents that can add or subtract shine. They were developed using fluorine and acrylic resins as the main components, in order to create stain prevention characteristics on plastic sheets, cast products, and metal items.
This layer creates a warm, soft feeling on the surface of a product, and thus is a the first effective anti-stain agent that can be used in fashionable products (it creates an enamel finish with a feeling of depth) and products that are required durability in difficult conditions.
This agent is used as a coating on furniture, construction materials, wall paper, and a wide variety of other items.
The primary features of this agent are listed below.
- Excellent stain prevention
- Excellent weather proofing
- Good wear resistance.
- Excellent chemical and solvent resistance
- Good light blocking characteristics and can be rolled up

Semi-conductor devices incorporate ever higher levels of integration and performance, which means that static electricity is more likely to cause fatal problems. Therefore, an all-encompassing countermeasure is needed to prevent the static electricity buildup that may occur any time and any place. TOKUSHIKI is applies a special coating agent to film and sheets to discharge static electricity. This coating agent contains conductive fillers with additives which discharge static electricity. Using our unique dispersion technology, we have been developing pigmented static prevention coating agents. Major applications of this agent are in IC trays, static prevention sheets, and static prevention tapes.
The features of this coating agent are listed below.
- Stable surface resistance (106 to 108 ohm/m) not influenced by temperature changes.
- Coated sheets can be created using gravure printing.
- Good adherence to various films.
- The coated surface is not sticky and does not cause ooze over time (these problems often occur when surface-active agent is used for).
Static prevention mechanism

By coating a plastic material surface with a soft touch agent, it can feel soft and gentle, like suede. The surface has low luster, does not feel like resin and provides a soft and elegant finish.
This coating agent has excellent adherence on ABS and Noryl resin surfaces.
It also offers good scratch-resistance, dims the plastic luster, but is clear, and has a suede type of high quality feeling.
If the coating is adjusted so that it does not reduce the luster, the surface will feel like rubber.

The Joytack AD series is widely used in automobiles, home appliances, furniture, construction materials, clothes, and other items as adhesive agent or primer.
This product was originally developed as an adhesive for use in bonding vinyl chloride to other materials in the interior of automobiles. However, due recent increases in environmental awareness, the materials used in automobile interiors are changing from vinyl chloride to olefin, ABS, acrylic, and PET. TOKUSHIKI is ready to supply adhesives to meet these changes in materials.
The features of Joytack AD are listed below
- Suitable for bonding to a variety of base material types such as films, sheets, and fabrics. Optimum for bonding soft PVC because it offers excellent resistance to plasticization, humidity, and heat.
- Since this adhesive is not absorbed into fabric, the bonded fabric can keep its original feeling without losing its flexibility.
- Though chloride family adhesives and primers are main stream for bonding olefin, we also offer non-chloride adhesives that are gentle to the environment.
- Both a heat-sensitive type (which can be rolled up without the layers separating after application and drying) and a low-temperature contact-bonding type (that retains its initial adhesive capacity at low temperature) are available.
- Can be used to bond PVC, PP, PET, ABS, acrylic fabrics, and metals.
