Foundation

June 1948
Reorganized "Suzuki Tokushu Inki Kenkyusho" ("Suzuki Special Ink Research Center") into a stock corporation, "Tokushu Shikiryo Kogyo Co., Ltd." First Used pigments as lacquer colorants.

1953 Started manufacturing colorants for vinyl chloride resins.
1960 Moved the main factory from Kita ward to Katsushika ward, Tokyo.
1961 Opened the Osaka representative office.
1962 Upgraded the Osaka representative office to a branch.
1963 Constructed a pigment synthesizing plant.
1964 Developed a surface processing agent for vinyl chloride leathers. This innovation served as the starting point for developing our coating-related products.
1967 Constructed a surface treatment agent manufacturing plant at Kashiwa City, Chiba and started production.
1972 Completed the transfer of production equipment from Katsushika Ward, Tokyo to the Kashiwa plant and started operation.
1976 Constructed a plant for acrylic and urethane resin synthesizing.
1978 Developed acrylic resins for traffic signs and ultra-weather-resistant transparent inks.
1983 Pioneered a surface treatment agent for olefins (used in automobile interiors).
1985

Installed equipment for producing color coating products, including plastic paints and special gravure inks.
Developed acrylic agents for functionalization and surface treatment in collaboration with an automotive manufacturer.

1986 Developed adhesives for automotive equipment.
1989

Masao Suzuki became president.
Constructed a new research building.
Jointly developed urethane agents for functionalization and surface treatment for automotive equipment.

1990

Constructed a new paint manufacturing plant.
Increased the company's capital to 135.95 million yen.
Developed UV curable resin products.

1993 Jointly developed urethane surface treatment agents with enhanced functionalization capability for olefin automotive interior cloth.
1995

Jointly developed urethane surface treatment agents with enhanced functionalization capability for automotive applications.Entered the electronic material field and developed LCD-related products.

1996 Established surface treatment agent production plants for automotive applications in USA and Germany.
1997 Developed a highly-functionalized urethane resin for vehicle registration plates.
1998 Developed inkjet-related products.
1999 Moved the head office to Kashiwa City, Chiba, and consolidated the office and the Kashiwa plant into the headquarters.
2000 Certified for international quality standards ISO 9001:2000.
2001 Enhanced the colorant manufacturing equipment for LCD color filters.
2003 Changed the company name to "TOKUSHIKI Co., Ltd." Built a new main plant in the current location and moved the equipment from the previous plant to the new one.
2005

Acquired an area adjacent to the main plant and constructed a second manufacturing plant for the colorant used in LCD color filters.
Opened a parking area for employees on the same land.

2006 Developed colorants for black matrix.
2008 Developed UV coating agents for optical films.
2008 Masao Suzuki became chairperson, and Masuji Suzuki became president.
2011 Developed UV curable self-repair paints.
