In general, coating agents qualified to be “functionalizing” add various capabilities to the articles to be coated.
Such capabilities include optical, electric/electronic, mechanical/chemical, and environmental capabilities.

●Optical capabilities: anti-reflective and antiglare capabilities
●electric/electronic capabilities: antistatic capability, conductivity, electromagnetic shieldability
●Mechanical/chemical capabilities: Elasticity, water repellency and antifouling and antibacterial capabilities
●Environmental capabilities: photocatalytic activity
Antifouling Coating agents

 

The coating agents are made from silicone-modified acrylic resins that have ladder silicone (polysiloxane/silsesquioxane featuring a ladder-type structure) incorporated into their molecular skeletons. They have more durable water repellency than antifouling coating agents containing only conventional silicone additives.

In addition to a silicone-modified acrylic structure, fluorine-based coating agents are also available.

Product Characteristics
AS-201S Silicone UV-curable antifouling hard coat agent
AS-101S Silicone heat-curable coating agent for soft base material
AS-104S Silicone heat-curable hard coating agent
AS-301F Fluorine-based heat-curable coating agent with excellent water and oil repellency
Water-based polyurethane coating agents

The coating agents are water-based.
They have superior heat, weather and oil resistance compared with acrylic and polyethylene coating agents.

Product Characteristics
TKA-270 Hard coating agent with a pencil hardness of F and an elongation of 150%
TKA-370 Soft coating agent with a pencil hardness of B and an elongation of 400%
UVTKA-520 Hard coating agent with a pencil hardness of 2H and a pre-UV-curable elongation of 230%.
It has better curling properties than solvent-based or solventless UV-curable hard coating agents.

  • By adding a small amount of special carbon, it improves the concealability of the inside while maintaining transparency and antiglare property.
  • Because of its flexibility, it can be applied to urethane-based films.Flashlights with curved surface shapes, as well as light-emitting and display devices with enhanced design and anti-glare properties, can prevent damage and deterioration of the light source cover.

・ Due to the thermosetting type, it is possible to add various fillers to the coating film.

・ Due to its self-healing property, it is superior in scratchability to similar acrylic paint films.

・ Due to the low contact angle with water, water spreads on the coating film without water droplets.

Zirconium Oxide High Refractive Index Coatings(under development)

  • Since the ratio of zirconium oxide is about 80% in terms of resin ratio, a high refractive index can be expected.
  • Various properties can be imparted depending on the type of filler such as resin and metal oxide to be added.
  • Excellent handling due to high filler concentration and low viscosity.
