What is a water-based UV-curable anti-fog (super hydrophilic) coating agent?

Contact angles of less than 40 degrees are called hydrophilicity, and those with contact angles of less than 10 degrees are called superhydrophilicity. If the contact angle with water is low, water will diffuse to the surface and no haze will occur.A coating agent that reduces the contact angle with water and prevents fogging from occurring is called an anti-fogging (superhydrophilic) coating agent.
The water-based UV-curable anti-fogging (super-hydrophilic) coating agent developed by TOKUSHIKI is a non-hazardous material due to its water-soluble form. Compared with solvent-based products, these products are not only safe to operate, but also easy to handle for storage and transportation. In addition, since it has good adhesion and is of a thin film type, it is possible to cure UV (ultraviolet) in a relatively short time in the drying process, which is a problem peculiar to water.

In the above experiment, a water-based UV-curable anti-fogging (super-hydrophilic) coating agent was applied to a glass plate, and the top of the cup containing hot water at 50°C was covered with the glass plate. You can see that the areas that have not been coated with the coating agent will quickly become cloudy, but the areas that have been applied will not be cloudy.
